As a blue-collar entrepreneur with just a high school degree myself, one thing I’ve come to understand is that success comes in many shapes and sizes. Fortunately, many of them still do not require a college degree! The important thing is to identify what you really want and find out what it’ll take to get there.
So, just for fun, I wanted to run with Natalia’s theme a little bit and brainstorm the perfect blue-collar careers based on your zodiac signs. Take a read and let me know – does yours speak to you?
Personal Trainer or Firefighter
Typically bold, engaged, and fired up, Aries like physical challenges and can excel in a high-energy job. Becoming a personal trainer is a great option (and the free gym-membership helps) and a career as a firefighter might also make for a good fit.
Bartender, Chef, Restaurant Owner, or Wedding Planner
Steadfast and strong-willed enough to deal with unpredictable situations, a Taurus might be a great fit for customer service. Love food or wine? This could be an especially attractive career.
Hairstylist or Cosmetologist
Talkative, extroverted, great at connecting with people and helping them feel good about themselves, Gemini make for good beauty industry employees. If you’re a fan of beauty guru / MUA Youtube, it may be time to start experimenting.
Working with animals is a good fit for your caring side, but working any job remote or in 1-on-1 settings can fit your desire to be a homebody.
Actor or Salesperson
You love the spotlight, work hard and have no fear when it comes to pursuing your dreams. Those are the necessary skills for becoming a great actor (or salesperson). Already the star of drama club? This could be the path for you.
Elevator Installer and Repairer or Florist
Your Type-A, perfectionist side makes you a natural fit for exacting positions. Get machines working just-so or flowers arranged precisely and you could build a nice career for yourself.
Influencer, Blogger, or Wardrobe Consultant
You’re a great communicator and have a knack for inspiring and influencing others. Plus you’ve got an eye for trends. Working as an influencer, blogger, or wardrobe consultant might be right up your alley.
Graphic Design Artist…. Or Politician
You’re intense, creative, and have so much to share. Why not make art? Graphic design, makeup, fashion – work in the business of self-expression and you could live a happy life. Or… give local government a spin and see where it takes you.
Welder or Landscape Designer
You work hard and have an intense eye for detail. If you work your way up in the trades you could build your own business.
Flight Attendant or Travel Agent
You have serious wanderlust – so fly away! Flight attendants get to see the world and provide priceless customer experiences – a natural fit.
Postal Worker or Comedian
People might tell you that you’re a little kooky or offbeat. Well, postal workers and comedians get to connect and get insight into the private lives of others, which will activate your air sign sensibilities.
Medical Assistant or Life Coach
You’re a softy who loves helping and connecting with others. Working directly with patients gives you daily human connection and provides a nice outlet for compassion.
You know what else doesn’t require a degree? Becoming a writer. I hope to stay in touch as my book Blue Collar Cool progresses. It will have excellent advice on finding a career that fits your passion, financial planning, and goal-setting. I look forward to sharing this journey with you.
