Is American Manufacturing Dying?

No.

The number of job openings for blue-collar workers has continued to rise, including in the manufacturing industry. In addition, many blue-collar careers are filled by people who are nearing retirement age. As they retire they will leave behind open, high-paying jobs and recession-proof careers that need to be filled and that without college-debt could turn you into a millionaire.

You don’t need to go to college to find a good job. In fact, trades are becoming more desirable than ever as demand for them rises and the supply of competent workers falls. At this point, you shouldn’t be concerned about finding work with trade skills, instead, you should be concerned about how long you may have to wait (and how much you’ll have to pay) in order to have your trade needs (plumbing, heating, masonry, carpentry, construction, etc.) taken care of!
